Welcome to the eGOS
The project will aim at improving employability and guidance practitioners’ capacity building through the activities of a prototype service that will enable the delivery of educational and vocational e-guidance services, also to cross-border mobility. This eGOS system will enable decision makers in charge with educational, training and employment policies to reach also those citizens that, for different reasons, wouldn’t be able to take benefit from traditional guidance services.

eGOS presented at 19th "Job&Orienta: Guidance, schools, training, careers" exhibition: Verona, Italy, Pavillon 7, stand 48A
JOB&Orienta is the most important Italian event in relation to guidance, schools, training and career: an up-to-date and accredited showcase. The exhibition-conference is organised in two macro-areas: one relative to schools (which contains the sections JOBSchool, University Planet and MultimediaJOB, where our stand is located) and one to the Job market (TopJOB, Arts, crafts and professions, JOBTouring, SocialJOB). This year’s novelty is JOBInternational, a space dedicated to organisations and companies which promote international mobility for study or work purposes.

Проектът се стреми повиши заетостта и възпитателната способност на операторите, тествайки експериментално обслужване за училищна и професионална ориентация, и в границите на международната мобилност. Многоканална платформа ‘open source’ – отворен код (WISP: Web- базирана на платформа за интегрирани услуги) ще позволи да се предлагат информация, консултация и подпомагане чрез нови начини на комуникация като видеоконференция, имейл, чат, форум и т.н.

Il progetto mira a incrementare l’occupazione e la capacità formativa degli operatori testando un servizio sperimentale di orientamento scolastico e professionale, anche in termini di mobilità internazionale. Una piattaforma multicanale ‘open source’ (WISP: Web-based Integrated Services Platform) consentirà di offrire informazioni, consulenza e supporto attraverso nuove modalità di comunicazione come videoconferenza, email, chat, forum e così via.

El proyecto tiene por objetivo mejorar el empleo y la capacidad de las y los profesionales de la orientación, creando a través de las actividades un prototipo que permita la prestación de servicios de enseñanza y la formación profesional en servicios electrónicos de orientación, así como la movilidad transfronteriza.

Are you a private/public body?
[EN] By monitoring the development of the eGos project, private and public bodies will observe, from a close point of view, the evolution of guidance practices. Subscribing the eGos newsletter, they are going to receive periodically information about works in progress and useful documentation (see for example the "Ethical guidelines for e-guidance delivery and usage" by Mr. Raimo Vuorinen, Institute for Educational Researc, University of Jyväskylä, and Mr. James P.
Are you a guidance practitioner?
Nowadays, vocational and educational guidance requires a wider use of ICT technologies, either to manage information and to deliver services to beneficiaries. More and more practitioners look at new technologies as a valid support to their day-by-day practice. New modes to deliver vocational/educational services are to be set up, either, with particular attention to disadvantaged users because of geographic, physical, personal and/or professional issues. We need to manage ‘traditional’ activities through up-to-date tools, offering a range of new services.
