eGOS presented at 19th "Job&Orienta: Guidance, schools, training, careers" exhibition: Verona, Italy, Pavillon 7, stand 48A
JOB&Orienta is the most important Italian event in relation to guidance, schools, training and career: an up-to-date and accredited showcase. The exhibition-conference is organised in two macro-areas: one relative to schools (which contains the sections JOBSchool, University Planet and MultimediaJOB, where our stand is located) and one to the Job market (TopJOB, Arts, crafts and professions, JOBTouring, SocialJOB). This year’s novelty is JOBInternational, a space dedicated to organisations and companies which promote international mobility for study or work purposes. There is a wide range of exhibitors: state and private schools, vocational training centres, labour agencies, trade unions, professional and trade associations, local bodies and institutions, public and private businesses, voluntary and non-profit concerns, publishers, specialised press, websites and portals and so on. Jpb&Orienta is promoted by Verona Fiere and Veneto Regional Government in cooperation with the Italian Labour Ministry, Educational University and Research Ministry, Verona City Hall under the patronage of Verona Province Government, Verona Commerce Chamber and Verona University. Welcome to the eGOS
The project will aim at improving employability and guidance practitioners’ capacity building through the activities of a prototype service that will enable the delivery of educational and vocational e-guidance services, also to cross-border mobility. This eGOS system will enable decision makers in charge with educational, training and employment policies to reach also those citizens that, for different reasons, wouldn’t be able to take benefit from traditional guidance services.

Are you a guidance practitioner?
Nowadays, vocational and educational guidance requires a wider use of ICT technologies, either to manage information and to deliver services to beneficiaries. More and more practitioners look at new technologies as a valid support to their day-by-day practice. New modes to deliver vocational/educational services are to be set up, either, with particular attention to disadvantaged users because of geographic, physical, personal and/or professional issues. We need to manage ‘traditional’ activities through up-to-date tools, offering a range of new services.
